Neil is Chief Executive Officer and is based in Bermuda.

Neil has over four decades of (re)insurance industry experience and a proven track record of establishing and leading companies.

He began his career as a reinsurance broker, joining Benfield Group plc in 1986 where he rose through the ranks to become a main board member in 1988. In 1993, Neil formed the Benfield corporate finance division which led to the formation of Brit Insurance. Neil was the founding CEO of Brit Insurance from 1995 to 2005 and served as a non-executive director of the company until 2008.

Neil has a passion for protecting the environment and mitigating the effects of climate change, and subsequently founded several businesses in the sector. In 2005, Neil co-founded Climate Exchange plc and served as its CEO. The company pioneered the trading of carbon emissions and developed a 95% global market share before being sold to Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) in 2010 for approximately £400 million.

Neil also founded or served as chairman for Trading Emissions plc, Econergy plc, Aggregated Micro Power plc and Boutique Modern Ltd. Currently, Neil also serves as Chairman of IncubEx, an environmental derivatives platform.

During the Covid pandemic, Neil co-founded and became Executive Chairman of Conduit, after raising $1 billion in the largest IPO start up in London Stock Exchange history. As CEO, Neil is responsible for all executive management matters affecting Conduit and his principal responsibility is running Conduit’s business day-to-day. He also serves as an executive director on the board of Conduit Holdings Limited.

Elaine is Chief Financial Officer and is based in Bermuda.

After qualifying as a chartered accountant, Elaine joined Coopers & Lybrand before moving into industry in increasingly senior finance roles with Zurich and then Lancashire Group, where she ultimately served as Group CFO from 2011 to 2020.

Elaine is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, a member of The Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda and a member of The Institute of Directors.

Elaine is responsible for all aspects of Conduit’s financial management and reporting and serves as an executive director on the boards of Conduit Holdings Limited and Conduit Reinsurance Limited and is a member of the Executive Committee.

Stuart Quinlan

Deputy Chief Executive & Chief Operations Officer

Stuart is deputy CEO and also serves as Chief Operations Officer, based in Bermuda.

Stuart started his 30-year career underwriting casualty lines, specialising in financial lines with Royal & Sun Alliance. He held subsequent executive roles with Novae, Zurich and Barbican before joining Hamilton in London to start a new Lloyd’s business in 2015. Stuart has particular expertise in delivering effective IT strategies, recruitment and retention of top talent and monitoring and controlling a developing business. He has experience of dealing with regulators, rating agencies and investment stakeholders.

In addition to supporting the CEO more broadly, Stuart is responsible for overseeing Conduit’s operations, IT, claims and human resources. Stuart serves on the board of Conduit Reinsurance Limited and is a member of the Executive Committee.

Greg is General Counsel and Company Secretary and leads the compliance function.

Greg is an experienced lawyer who has held a number of senior in-house legal positions in the global insurance industry over the last 25 years. His most recent role in the industry was group general counsel for Lancashire Holdings Limited. Prior to this role, he spent 10 years performing various legal and compliance roles at the ACE Group, including legal counsel for ACE in Europe and compliance counsel at ACE Holdings Limited.

Greg is responsible for all legal and corporate secretarial aspects of the Group’s business including governance structure, regulation, and compliance. Greg serves on the board of CRL and is a member of the Executive Committee.

Andrew is Chief Actuary, based in Bermuda.

A qualified actuary and a Fellow of the UK’s Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, Andrew has had a highly successful professional career in the insurance industry spanning over 30 years both in the London Market and Bermuda.

Prior to joining Conduit, Andrew was the Head of Pricing for QBE’s European Operations with prior actuarial and risk management roles for Aspen Insurance both in London and Bermuda, including time as Chief Risk Officer and later Group Chief Actuary.

Andrew is responsible for the actuarial function including pricing, reserving and capital modelling. Andrew is a member of the Executive Committee.

Nick is interim Chief Underwriting Officer and is based in Bermuda.

Nick has over 20 years of industry experience structuring and managing diversified portfolios, spanning both traditional treaty reinsurance, as well as alternative capital solutions. His experience covers key global markets, including Bermuda and London.

Nick brings a wealth of experience in leading underwriting teams and developing impactful strategies to drive results. Prior to joining Conduit, Nick was a Managing Director at Aon Bermuda, where he supported reinsurers’ retro purchases and advised on growth strategies across Aon’s platform.

Prior to Aon, Nick was SVP Head of Property Catastrophe at Vantage Risk, where he was employed to scale up the property catastrophe portfolio from day one of the company’s founding. Before this, Nick played a key role in overseeing the London and Bermuda portfolios for Neon Underwriting (Lloyd’s Syndicate 2468). Earlier in his career, Nick held underwriting roles at AlphaCat, Validus Re and Talbot.

Nick joined Conduit in September 2024 as Underwriting Portfolio & Alternative Capital Manager, and was promoted to interim Chief Underwriting Officer in April 2025. In this role, Nick leads the company’s underwriting strategy and oversees portfolio performance.
