Nick Pritchard

Interim Chief Underwriting OfficerNick is interim Chief Underwriting Officer and is based in Bermuda.
Nick has over 20 years of industry experience structuring and managing diversified portfolios, spanning both traditional treaty reinsurance, as well as alternative capital solutions. His experience covers key global markets, including Bermuda and London.
Nick brings a wealth of experience in leading underwriting teams and developing impactful strategies to drive results. Prior to joining Conduit, Nick was a Managing Director at Aon Bermuda, where he supported reinsurers’ retro purchases and advised on growth strategies across Aon’s platform.
Prior to Aon, Nick was SVP Head of Property Catastrophe at Vantage Risk, where he was employed to scale up the property catastrophe portfolio from day one of the company’s founding. Before this, Nick played a key role in overseeing the London and Bermuda portfolios for Neon Underwriting (Lloyd’s Syndicate 2468). Earlier in his career, Nick held underwriting roles at AlphaCat, Validus Re and Talbot.
Nick joined Conduit in September 2024 as Underwriting Portfolio & Alternative Capital Manager, and was promoted to interim Chief Underwriting Officer in April 2025. In this role, Nick leads the company’s underwriting strategy and oversees portfolio performance.

Head of CasualtyMario has over 30 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry and a wealth of expertise and knowledge relevant to his role. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership roles in both an underwriting capacity as well as actuarial.
Mario joined Conduit from BMS Re, where he was Head of Casualty Treaty and Actuarial. Prior to BMS Re, Mario held senior underwriting roles at several leading reinsurance companies, including at JRG Re, QBE Reinsurance, XL Capital and most latterly as Head of Casualty and Actuarial at Everest Re, Bermuda.
Mario is based in Bermuda and is responsible for managing Conduit Re’s global casualty underwriting team. He leads the continued development and delivery of the company’s casualty strategy, ensuring that Conduit Re continues to provide its clients with innovative and effective reinsurance solutions.
